Having the new press mounted I did some tests and thought about using it for other stuff by using parts of my collected Marzocchi things.
Here is the result what I want to use it for:
- exchange steerer from XC- or Bomber crowns
- press steerer in NOS XC- or Bomber crowns
- press steerer in NOS Bomber crowns
Especialy for my ‘long time unwanted NOS Bomber crowns (1 1/4″)’ I found a cool solution, by pressing in a new 300mm 1 1/8″ AHEAD steerer using a suitable shim and additional Loctite (high strength). I did some tests and I like the very good result !! 🙂
