As you might know Marzocchi built all the crowns for 1 1/8″ and 1 1/4″ steerer. That makes it easy possible to change the steerer e.g. if you want to use a 1″ steerer, especialy when you own a crown which boltens the steerer.
I have a box with lots of shims in 3 sizes from a Bike shop buy-out, but unfortunately the ones with 1 1/8″ –> 1 1/4″ are rare and out.
So I asked my friend Martin – who also helped my out in some other cases – to rebuild me a couple of new ones and he did on a Sunday afternoon! Thanks, Martin!
