I have collected about 20 Marzocchi Fork Foot nuts & Screws from 1997 – 2017 and have managed the 3D CAD Models and Drawings now. All of them have 1-2 O-Rings included.
All will go to production now, Aluminium 7075, anodized natural/silver, one will be anodized golden and one black.
I’m sure this are not all, but for the moment this are all I have found and be able to get …
I will create a table online showing picture, serial number and details later to users can search and compare for there needs.
All screws will be in the shop next for pre-buyer. Pre-buys will support my projects, as you can understand.
That’s something I wanted to do for years, I’m getting requests all weeks. ππ§
At first I tried to buy them, but that was crazy. I need a lot, because I use them in most serviced Forks, all my Rebuilds and to help out buyers.
Simple parts, but always in need. This are all made out of steel!
First row left : Canti Sockets for the early ‘classic’ Bombers like Z1 (1996++) and all the older XC-Series (1992 – 1997), thread is M6 x 1, optimized tolerances. Optional with the Pin plates to adjust Canti-Brakes Springs.
First row right : For Marzocchi Bomber M-Arch Forks 2003+ using 3-parts design. This is a critial part, as it holds the 3-Parts M-Arch designed Forks together! Thread is M6 x 0,75.
2nd row: Same Forks with the 1st row, but this are suitable Canti Socket Screws used when you go with Disc Brakes. They close nicely the Sockets.
FYI: There is another Canti Socket from 2006 (V-Brake PIN 2006 – 850996/C) needed, which will be probably done also in the next months.=> check my XC-SERIES & BOMBER Seal Kits here : https://dr-zocchi.projectweb.de/produkt-kategorie/seal-kits/ β¨πβ‘π€
Forza ragazzi!! ππ€ππ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ
We still care about Marzocchi! π§π¦Ύπ
I had Xmas yesterday opening a lovely FedEx package …. all well done, best packaging, all parts arrived save here as usual!
In the last months I was used to buy some expensive ‘handmade’ axles to service the requests in my postbox, but that axles where from lower quality and material.
So I did them myself :
– better dimensions & tolerances,
– Alu 7075 for better strength,
– anodized for best surface and best protected against corrosion!
Yes, I will sell single screws also, thread is M16x1,5.
Marzocchi SHIVER forks are USD forks and they have protectors in the bottom to protect the stanchions. Easy to crash them, hard to get replacements!π
But having a 3D model and some .stl data file you can easy reprint it using your material of choice and even in the colour you like!!π€£πβ¨π§π€
Lots of 3D printing materials are available, e.g. Onyx, which has better material properties than the original ones used in mass Pressure Die Casting.
And isn’t that easy : If you break it, you can simply print a new one.
Another main advantage : You can print it in a colour you want!!
I’d prefer to print it verticaly, which avoids the typical low level ‘stairs’ from layer thickness and minimizes parts support construction and building time.
But you need a 3D printer which can be print 279,5mm height!
If you don’t have it, you need to print horizontal, which needs a lot of parts support construction = lots of material and time.
Probably it need a little water grinding in post processing and some new stickers. Stickers are fkn expensive (30-40β¬ a pair), which is not acceptable.
I’m thinking about selling the 3D Data File .STL for a little fee including a cheaper SHIVER sticker, that make’s it a usable product to sell!!?
This is an articel I have posted @ FB and @ Insta a few minutes ago.
Free Marzocchi XC Tool for 3D Printing DIY!!β¨π§β‘π€
To be fair : This was an idea my Insta buddy JoΓ£o / JR SUSPENSION TECH from Portugal (Insta : jrsustech) has, when we spoke about the Marzocchi ROCO Tool I had created in Aluminium on demand for a Marzocchi/ROCO Service Center (you remember : FOX/Marzocchi dropped support for all parts & techn. documents <=2018).ππ΅
JoΓ£o owns a 3D printer and explained to me, that it would be a cool idea to have such data set for a tool in the background and that he can print it, when he is in need with no extra costs like for shipping.π¬
I thought about a while and I think he is absolut right!!!π§π€
In this case it is about a tool for all the older Marzocchi 24mm Forks having a piston (part no. 300) inside, which – technicaly interesting!! – separates the Air- & Oil chambers!
You better need this tool when you mount this piston inside!!πβ¨
Marzocchi Forks which are related are : XC400, XC300, XC200, XC150, XC100, MX100, TT10, StarFork from the 90’s.
So this tool and may be others will be available online for a little fee to your service. You can use to print it on your printer or order one from a 3D Printer Service.
There is just one precondition : You need to send me a photo about the one you have printed for yourself just for my fun, please!πππ€
I think I will do more of this, thinking about Top Caps which are very difficult and expensive to do in metal production for a single request.
This articel has been posted @ Instagram a minute ago. I was out of a lot of tools and did a big project about XC Series & Bomber’s Oil Seal Insertion Tools to fill my storage.
The basic idea is to sell my DR-ZOCCHI Seal-Kits including correct tools you need to make it best!
DR_ZOCCHIΒ :Β Marzocchi XC Series ‘SPECIAL EDITION’ Oil Seal Tool!!π§πππ€Β
Another set of tools for our Marzocchi have been fininhed! The ‘older’ Marzocchi Forks in the early 90’s require other tools for pressing in the Oil Seals as you can see. πThere are still an ongoing selling on the 24 & 26mm Marzocchi Forks Seal-Kits for Forks Like XC500, XC600 etc. including the both tools you better use for your Services :
That’s the reason it have been made out of Aluminium like the original ones (-> picture) and this time I decided to anodize it for a SPECIAL (bue) EDITION! β¨ππ Bling-Bling!!π€£β¨=> check my XC-SERIES, BOMBER & ROCO Tools Section out here : https://dr-zocchi.projectweb.de/tools/

Canti Sockets & Screws for Marzocchi m-arch Bombers!!
Some more basic Marzocchi stuff has been finished. Not a hero thing and there are lots of other producers out there. But no one wanted to sell to me 100-200 Canti Sockets for a usefull price.
O.k., as usual : I made it myself now, no problem.
This are the Cantilever Sockets for the 3-Parts-Casting used in Marzocchi Forks >2000. The Socket fixes the parts together. The screw will be used if you go for Disc Brakes.
All of us Marzocchi Fork Users come to the point in life where we have to decide about the material of our steerer’s :Β Aluminium or CroMo (Chrome Molybdenum)!?
In most cases it is about weight and the difference can be around 200 – 300 gr, depends on the length, diameter and type.
Over the years I reveived a lot of requests about aluminium steerer for the older Marzocchi Forks – using in pressed-in or boltened Steerer Fork Crowns – in most cases I was able to help out with older used ones from my steerer boxes.
But what happens, if none of the good old steerers are available? I can tell you, you might get into problems than!!
But have you ever compared old style Aluminium Steerer with current ones? You will wonder.
Look at the photo’s. You will realize the newer one looks different, they have a somehow ‘rough’ surface and are very shiny.
Q: Why do the Steerer look so different?
A: Easy : They have not been lathed like the older ones, but extruded. This is a modern procedure in modern material mass production. It also have sand lasted and for better looking they have some electro chemical quick surface finish. All in allΒ this makes them cheaper in production & profit grows up, but it is not all good.
The one making by ‘good old Style’ has been lathed.
Q: What are the main important advantages of the Old Style ones? A: There are Several Reasons :Β
homogenous material, means …
better strength (!)
defined geometry (think about your headset placed on the steerer)
better surface (*)
better (defined!) tolerances!(*)
defined flat bottom part (*)
(*) main important : this is needed for Steerer PRESSED-IN into Fork Crowns!!
Easy to understand, eh?!!
So that’s it, I will try to create a batch of Steerer’s in the ‘Old Style’ from the 90’s using some optimisations :
optimized tolerances for pressing procedures
optimized conical design to optimize the transfer of forces (above the headset)
optimized surface : anodized for protection & better handling
power force optimized wall thinkness (a little more wall thickness)
material optimized
and surely this can be used for boltened Marzocchi Fork Crowns also!
A. ‘new’ Steerer – extruded B. ‘Old Style’ Steerer – lathed
Low defined bottom edge
Defined geometry for bottom Headsets Bottom Bearing Ring
It took some time, but today my ‘Tool Series’ arrived.
Not a hero thing, but it’s about Oil Seal Insertion Tool for all Marzocchi Sizes : 30 / 32 / 35 / 38 / 40mm! (NO FOX!).
I had the idea to create this tools to all Marzocchi Forks I have Seal-Kits for so users can buy Service Kits including Seal-Kits + Tools if needed (the 2nd Tool you need is the Slider Protector).
Material is POM, has a little engravement with the Forks Stanchions diameter like ’30’, Made in Germany
P.S.: XC Series 24 & 26mm have other Tools made out of Aluminium.
This is another project I wanted to do for years. There are a lot of Canti Sockets in different sizes on the market. This are about the older ones for XC-Series & Bomber’s from the beginning of Marzocchi Front Forks Suspensions 1989 – 2002+ – means all the well known Marzocchi Forks XC400, XC500, XC600, XC700, XCR, DH3. Bomber’s Z1, Z2, Z3 … and many others.
This are my reasons :
I like to have new sockets in all my Rebuilds & most of Full Repair Services. Older Canti Sockets (some are about 30 years old!) are often damaged (thread broken, bent, etc.) and I think stainless steel is the better material in optical & security reasons.
I don’t like the original Marzocchi Canti sockets :
they are not very well dimensioned (too exact in detail)
simple steel (not very stiff), looks cheap
expensive on the market if you want it in stainless steel
Expensive, if you want to buy from 3rd party. There is one seller in the net, who sells them in V2A. I asked to buy for a higher number, but he refused. [ O.k. …. as you like π ]
So I simple have done it myself for my needs – as usual! π€£π€£π€£
All you need is a detailed 3D CAD model + drawing and a good producer. As I have both, I simply did this now and the result is a real pleasure! πβ‘π€π
As promised : We did a reproduction of the Marzocchi Ahead Cap, because it is just that damn fkn cool and we made it in different colours, as users have requested. It will be shipped in the next days.
You can buy it now here : https://dr-zocchi.projectweb.de/produkt/ahead-cap-marzocchi-fear-nothing/ , there is discount if you buy more than one.
I don’t know in detail now, but one idea is to add this part into repair kits like Z1 BOMBER, SHIVER, MONSTER etc. for your service. β‘π€
May be we do some others colours in future as well, purple, gold etc. … don’t know yet.

Another sample of DIY if you need it & you don’t get support from the original manufacturer anymore!! grrrr. π
This tool is used in a lot of ROCO’s from 2007 up to 2015 (!) and is not available anymore. It’s for SALE!
Orig. no. R5223/C>A ‘COVER PILOT BUSHING KEY’ also named ‘Air Main Chamber Wrench’.
My intention was to check 3D CAD modelling, if this can be done as it is not a simple part. After we made it, we decided to create a milled prototype to test the dimensions – that’s a common & absolut needed task, but sometimes too time and costs intensive.
With the help of a friend (thanks, Michael!!) we did a prototype and learnt, that the 3D modell and all dimensions are as it best.
It’s made out of well known air plane metal Aluminium 7075 and has been produced in Germany. We will do a small series. If you need one, please drop me a note!!π
